Video security has gone digital with these new DVR recorders. It can record the signal from a high resolution security camera directly onto its internal hard drive. Depending upon the size of the hard drive and the resolution of the cameras, the DVR system can record many hours of video surveillance footage before it needs to overwrite the oldest recordings. The great thing about the DVR instead of the old tape VCR devices is the clarity of the freeze-frame images. You can freeze it when there is a view of the intruders face and get a printout for police very easily.
